This statement is a general description of the portal's recruitment-data practices, not legal advice. Contact Postbank Kenya through its official channels for questions or requests about your information.
Information we collect
When you use the recruitment portal, we may collect your email address and verification information, contact details, identity details, education and employment history, application documents, and information you provide about a disability or related registration where applicable.
We also process information about the vacancy you apply for and records needed to manage your application and portal session. Please provide only information relevant to your application and do not include unnecessary sensitive information in uploaded documents.
How we use your information
We use applicant information to verify your email and, where applicable, identity details; create and manage your candidate profile; receive and assess applications; communicate with you about recruitment; and operate, secure, and improve the recruitment portal.
Information about disability or accommodation is used to understand relevant information you choose to provide for your application and to support an appropriate recruitment process.
Sharing and service providers
Access is limited to personnel and service providers who need information to operate the portal or carry out recruitment activities. This may include recruitment teams, technical and communications providers, and an identity-verification service when identity checks are requested.
Service providers are expected to handle information for the authorized service and in accordance with applicable privacy and security obligations. We do not intend to sell applicant personal data.
Legal basis and your choices
We process information as needed to administer your application and recruitment process, meet applicable legal obligations, protect the portal, and for other lawful purposes. Where we ask for consent, you may withdraw it; withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out or processing that has another lawful basis.
You may choose not to provide information, but this may prevent us from verifying you or considering an application where that information is needed.
Retention
We keep applicant information only for as long as reasonably necessary for recruitment, related record-keeping, security, and legal or regulatory requirements. Retention may vary depending on the application and applicable obligations. When information is no longer needed, it is deleted or securely disposed of in accordance with applicable processes.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect applicant information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No online service can be guaranteed completely secure, so please keep your account and verification details private and contact us if you suspect misuse.
Your privacy rights
Subject to applicable law and any lawful exceptions, you may request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate or incomplete information, deletion, restriction or objection to certain processing, and information about how your data is used. You may also raise a concern with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner in Kenya.
To make a privacy request or ask a question, use Postbank Kenya's official contact channels and ask for the team responsible for data protection or recruitment privacy. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
Changes to this statement
We may update this statement when our recruitment processes, services, or legal obligations change. The latest version will be published on this page with its revision date.
